3 SIMPLE STEPS TO EFFECTIVE THANKSGIVING
Dearest
My heart is full of joy as I write to you to celebrate our victory in the year 2024. What a year! the LORD spoke to us that this would be the year of Divine Reversal and Surpassing Glory, and indeed, it has been a year of mighty testimonies of divine reversal for us as a ministry, and in the lives of every Pillar.
This year, we have seen the hand of God in our services, and especially in our monthly Night of Divine Reversal (NDR) meetings, where we witnessed countless miracles and testimonies of divine turn around and breakthroughs. Truly, our God is worthy of praise and thanksgiving for all His blessings, favour and increase in the year 2024.
Our Victory Thanksgiving Service
This is why on Sunday 8 th of December 2024, we will be coming together as a ministry to lavish our praise and thanksgiving on the LORD according to how He has blessed us. This will be an opportunity for you and your family to present yourself before the LORD to thank Him for the year, giving Him the honour and praise that is due. This will require that we prepare in a special way, as outlined below:

EFFECTIVE THANKSGIVING
In order to give the LORD a befitting gratitude at this year’s Victory thanksgiving Service, it is important for you to approach thanksgiving in the following ways:
1. Appreciate
Begin your preparation for the Victory thanksgiving Service by teaching your heart to appreciate the goodness and faithfulness of God in your life, especially in the year 2024.
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his beneíts: – Psalm 103:3
First, be truly grateful from your heart for the gift of life and of the salvation of your soul. Also, appreciate the privilege that the LORD has given you to
know Him, and to be a partaker of His grace in every area of your life. Be grateful also for family, for your friends, work partners and other connections that God has brought into your life this year.
2. Rejoice
Another important way to position yourself for an effective thanksgiving to God is to rejoice before Him.
O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto Him with Psalms. Psalm 95:1-2
Joy is an indispensable key in offering a befitting thanksgiving to our God, so
you must refuse anything that dampens your spirit as you prepare to come before Him in thanksgiving this season.
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God. – Psalm 42:11
3. Prepare
Though gratitude for us is a daily thing, we have learnt to take out a specific day to specially appreciate the LORD for all He has done for us. Learning to seize that opportunity to give thanks well is truly vital.
- Prepare your Heart: Recount the blessings of God in your life (as we highlighted in no. 1 above).
- Prepare in Daily Prayers: Join other Gospel Pillars on Mixlr every day by 10pm from Thursday 5thto Monday 9th Dec. 2024 for a time of heartfelt praise and gratitude to God.
- Prepare your Apparel: Wearing good clothing is as a sign of honour to God, knowing that you would be standing before the Emperor of the Universe as you present yourself, your family and your substance for thanksgiving.
- Prepare your Sacrificial Offering: Giving to God is an expression of how much you appreciate who He is and what He has done in your life, and what is important to God is not the size of your gift, but what it cost you.
And Araunah said unto David, Let my lord the King take and offer up what seemeth good unto Him: behold, here be oxen for burnt sacriíce, and threshing instruments and other instruments of the oxen for wood. All these things did Araunah, as a King. And Araunah said unto the King, the LORD thy God accept thee. And the King said unto Araunah,
Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which
doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for ífty shekels of silver.

WHY SHOULD I THANK THE LORD?
Thanksgiving brings Wholeness:
The Bible tells us of the 10 lepers who were cleansed by the Lord Jesus, and how that only one laid it to heart to return in thanksgiving. The Bible shows us that only he received wholeness
And Jesus answering said, were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole. – Luke 17:17-19
Just like we see in the story above, the doctors can treat, prayers can heal, but only thanksgiving makes you whole
Final Words
I am without doubt, that as you thank the LORD with the revelation outlined above, you will not only give the LORD a befitting thanksgiving for which He is worthy, but you will also attract His manifold blessings of multiplication, perfection, and glorification upon your life.
“And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.” – Jeremiah 30:19
