KEYS TO TAPPING INTO WONDERS AT GOSPEL PILLARS CHURCH, IKEJA, LAGOS, NIGERIA

“When you begin to take steps in faith expecting God to show up, pay attention to the signs along the way.” – Prophet Isaiah Macwealth

God’s wonders are expressions of His supernatural intervention in the affairs of men. In wrapping up his teaching on Connecting to Supernatural Provision, Prophet Isaiah Macwealth highlighted two more striking instances of supernatural provision in scriptures:

Jesus at the Lake of Gennesaret – Luke 5:1–9
After an entire night of fishing without success, Jesus told Peter to cast his net again into the deep. Though tired and skeptical, Peter obeyed. The result? A miraculous catch so overwhelming that their nets began to break and their boats began to sink.

The lesson: God’s wonder manifests when we act in faith, even when past experiences suggest otherwise.

Jesus at Capernaum – Matthew 17:24–27
When temple tax collectors questioned Jesus, He told Peter to go fishing. The first fish he caught had a coin in its mouth—enough to pay for both of them. This was not just provision—it was precise, timely, and supernatural. Obedience opened the door to supply.

Prophet Isaiah Macwealth went on to unveil two powerful keys to tapping into wonders:

1. Taking bold steps in obedience to instructions – Exodus 3:22

Before the Israelites left Egypt, God told them to ask their Egyptian neighbors for silver, gold, and clothing. Though they were slaves, they obeyed. And God gave them such favour that the Egyptians gave freely. This unlikely act of obedience resulted in supernatural wealth transfer. The Israelites did not leave empty-handed, they left with evidence of favour. Obedience was the key that unlocked the release of provision.

 2. Taking faith steps in expectation of God’s faithfulness – Isaiah 13:19–22; 14:1–16; 20–23

In a time of great oppression, Israel had no weapons—only Saul and Jonathan had swords. Yet Jonathan said to his armor bearer, “Let’s go over to the Philistine outpost… perhaps the Lord will act on our behalf.” (1 Sam. 14:6). Without assurance, but with full expectation, Jonathan took a faith step. As he climbed toward the enemy, God sent confusion into the Philistine camp and brought a mighty victory.
This story shows that stepping out in faith while expecting God to move in impossible situations triggers His intervention. Faith requires courage and full confidence in God’s ability. Whether you need direction, provision, or breakthrough, remember: God responds when we step out in faith.
