Embracing Change

Embracing Change: The Final Habit of a Successful Christian

“To succeed in life, you must be willing to change. Successful people are open to change”- Prophet Isaiah Macwealth

Change is a powerful force that shapes our lives, yet many resist it out of fear or uncertainty. During the midweek service at Gospel Pillars Church, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, Prophet Isaiah Macwealth delivered the concluding message of his 8-week teaching series, Turning Success into a Habit.

His final class, “The Last Habit of a Successful Christian,” left the congregation deeply inspired and ready to embrace change as a pathway to growth, success, and a closer walk with God.

The Power of Change in a Believer’s Life

Prophet Macwealth emphasized that change is a constant—one that believers must be willing to embrace. Just as the seasons shift, so do the different phases of our lives. Holding onto old habits, mindsets, and fears can prevent the new things God desires to bring.

“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” – Mark 9:23 (KJV)

Faith and doubt cannot coexist. To truly embrace change, one must release fear, uncertainty, and limiting beliefs—fully trusting in God’s plan.

Letting Go of the Old to Receive the New

Matthew 9:17 (KJV) Macwealth highlights the importance of adopting a new mindset to accommodate God’s blessings:

“Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.”

Just as new wine requires fresh wineskins, new levels of growth, revelation, and success require an open heart and a transformed mindset. Stubbornly holding on to outdated habits and rigid thought patterns prevents spiritual and personal progress.

Overcoming Challenges and Moving Forward

Life is filled with challenges, tests, and trials, but how we respond to them determines our success. It  is important not to remain stuck in difficult situations but to trust God and keep moving forward.

Difficult seasons often come to stretch and refine us, not to break us. Every challenge is an opportunity for growth, and those who persist with faith will see victory.

As prophet Macwealth often says, “You do not have to remain in a tough situation. Believe in yourself and strive to become better. Your current situation is not your final destination—there are greater things ahead!”

A Call to Self-Reflection

As we conclude the success series, take inventory of your life and identify areas that need transformation. What needs to change in your life today?

Are you clinging to old patterns that no longer serve God’s purpose for you? Are you resisting the new opportunities and blessings He is trying to bring?

May we all have the courage to let go of the old, step into the new, and walk boldly into the future God has prepared for us.
